I've wanted to be a pilot for longer than I can remember. I started training as a senior in high school (thanks mom and dad!) and I got my private pilot certificate as a college freshman. I love to fly and to share my love of flying with others. I learned in grad school that I love teaching as well and being a flight instructor gives me my flying fix and my teaching fix at the same time!

Flying small aircraft gives you a unique perspective on lots of everyday experiences, from a better sense of location to a deeper appreciation of the weather around you. When I'm not flying I am a seismologist for a Silicon Valley tech company, and I've learned over the years that the best way to learn the lay of the land is to fly over it! Come for a demo flight with me, and I'll show you the San Andreas Fault from a perspective few people ever see!
